What do I need to get up and running?
Provided you have ADSL coverage, Vox will place a Pure ADSL or Copper Connect ADSL order with Openserve (an infrastructure provider of ADSL in South Africa). A telephone is not compulsory when placing your order. Openserve will either accept or reject your order based on copper quality. If your order is approved, Openserve will be required to run the copper cable from outside your home to the socket in your wall and connect it to an ADSL router.
How long does installation take?
From the time your order is placed and Openserve has indicated that your home is ready for installation, the time to install is around 6-8 weeks.
How do I stay updated after purchasing a package?
You can review the status of your order on the Customer Zone. In addition, Vox will send you email updates on the progress of your order at every stage.
Do I need an ADSL router?
Yes, you will need an ADSL router. You can either purchase or rent a router from Vox at an additional fee, or you can use your own ADSL router. In the event of your own ADSL router being used, it must be capable of the speeds at which your ADSL is configured.
