With broadband connections reaching 1Gbps it is imperative that you have the correct Wi-Fi access points that can accommodate these broadband speeds.

Consider the maximum data transfer speed (measured in Mbps or Gbps) that the access point can accommodate.

If you have high-speed internet i.e., more than 100 Mbps, choose an access point that can support those faster speeds. Additionally, look for features like dual-band or tri-band support, which can help reduce congestion and improve overall performance.

Check the wireless standards supported by the access point. The current standard is 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) and the latest standard is 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6). Wi-Fi 6 provides faster speeds, better performance in high density environments, and improved energy efficiency. Ensure that your devices are compatible with your chosen standard.
